Job description:
Key Role:
Provide strategic leadership to Booz Allen's conference, tradeshow, and event programs in the US government market. Work with multiple stakeholders, direct reports on an internal team, firm leadership, and clients to set the overall firm event strategy and evolve event processes and operations to optimize cost-effectiveness and the strategic value of events. Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment of the overall events program with brand and business goals, from show selection to individual event strategy. Educate and provide counsel on event and exhibit marketing best practices for planning, execution, and measurement. Establish quantitative and quantifiable metrics to determine ROO and ROI of event participation. Manage the daily operations of four event services professionals, including staff supervision and development, budget management, and procurement. Manage relationships with key vendors and marketing partners.
Basic Qualifications
· 15+ years of experience with developing, overseeing, and executing strategic conference and trade show programs
· 8+ years of experience in direct supervisory and matrix management roles
· Experience with marketing to federal markets through trade shows, conferences, and summits, including strategic planning and logistical management
· Experience with collaborating with integrated marketing communications teams
· Experience with marketing communications tactics that support and complement exhibiting and speaking at and sponsoring events
· Experience with brand building and lead generation programs at events
· Experience with budget management
· Experience with measuring event performance
· Knowledge of ROO and ROI measurement techniques
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including senior-level executives, junior staff, and exhibit industry vendors and show services personnel
· BA or BS degree required
